It has been a while since there was only printed/photocopied resume that was mailed out. Today there are several formats that one must have in their arsenal. The following is how to create a resume that can be scanned into those database systems, a format for cut and paste sites, and the last is to be put into the body of an email.
The Scanned Resume
This is your standard resume. However, there are some Do’s and Do not’s for this type of resume format.
Do: Keep to one font format.
Use upper-case and bold to highlight sections and your name
Use white paper.
Don’t: Use graphics, italics or underlining.
Insert symbols, borders, or columns.
Put name and address on same line.
